Teachers

Another mindless rant; what is it with teachers? So you have a class that has homework; acceptable. You have a class that has a full workload of homework; also acceptable. But when that another teacher gives you the same amount of homework as all of your other teachers, and that is a full workload of work....It is no wonder that students do not stay in the honors track, fall asleep in class, or even drop out.
All teachers seem to think that their class is the only one that you have homework for. I have on a daily basis, practicing for band, calculus, government, now I have to learn my lines for Talk Radio, and sometimes chemistry. Getting two done, tough but do-able three or more.......I'm sinking here,
Sometimes I feel like one of those cartoon characters that run off a cliff and try to frantically run in place to save them selves from falling. I'm running and can only hope that I don't fall.

People

People are such a confusing subject. For example, why would someone decide that one day their best friend from since kindergarten is no longer the person they want to hang out with, so that friend is just cruelly rejected for the reason "I just don't like you anymore." WTF?!?!?!?!?! Or how can someone who is intensely irritating also be someone who I am attracted to.........I really hope Mother doesn't read this.........I'll be grounded for months.........

The cat

This summer we got a little kitten by the name of Widget, she was at the time able to fit in the palm of my hand, and came complete with a broken pelvis and other medical problems. The little kitten is now not so little, about seven pounds, and no longer fits in my palm. She has the most rediculous wiskers that I have ever seen.
Widget has decided that she is the queen of the house, and the dogs have not disputed that. Watching sixty pound dogs move to get away from the scary cat......funny. She has the loudest purr, that once she begins, it is near impossible to stop and if you listen to her for to long you might need a hearing aid.
The favorate place of little Widget is resting on my chest with her head tucked into my neck; which causes her very cold nose to be pressed against my neck, which is no fun. She has also decided that the bean bag chairs are a nice place to sun her self, taking them away from the rest of us.

Oops

Guess I kinda forgot to share the exciting news....After frantically waiting and hoping that I get a part in Talk Radio....Well the results are in and I am cast as Dan, well the name is really Danielle, but I much prefer Dan. :) (Actually this is a male part, I just to get the role, but I don't have to pretend to be male.)

Thats all the exciting theater news, nothing else new to report really except less then six months until I visit Claire in Germany.

Something to celebrate

So this is my first post. Amazing isn't it? Well exciting news. This weak was auditions for the spring play Talk Radio. I auditioned and got call backs. Now I'm sitting at home, biting my nails, and waiting until Monday when I find out if I got a part.
